  • Special: Argumentation and Debate
So, who am I? I am a college instructor with a Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Composition. My dissertation was written on methods of teaching argumentation and writing skills to first-year college students. I hold the rank of "full professor" and have served as department chair at a large community college in the suburbs of a major city. Over the years, I have regularly been responsible for training new instructors.

Most importantly, I'm a teacher who is trying to use technology to get around the rising costs of college. I hope my work can make things a little cheaper for students. That seems more valuable to me than trying to turn this into a textbook that students have to pay for.

My favorite class to teach is English 101, which I taught for the first time in August, 1998.
